Yesterday was J’s birthday. What better gift than a chocolate cake, covered with chocolate ganache and decorated with chocolate roses. That is how I set out to make this cake. It came out better than I expected and J sure was elated seeing it. But the irony of the situation was that J was not at home to cut the cake not even to taste it. He had to be satisfied with a virtual birthday cake, while we had the real one. (more…)
