Ingredients
- 1 cup Mung Bean Lentils
- bunch Spinach Chopped a
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
For tempering
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 - 3 green chillies Finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic Finely
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 1/2 tablespoon Coriander powder
Instructions
- Cook the washed lentils with some salt, turmeric powder, spinach and adequate water till done.Keep the cooked dal aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, when they start to splutter add the asafoetida and stir for a couple of seconds.
- Add the chopped chilli and garlic and saute till the garlic turns slightly brown in colour.
- Add the coriander powder and stir for a few seconds. Switch off the heat and add to the Dal mixture and mix well.
- Serve hot with Rice or Roti.
