    You could use either. I used freshly grated coconut but roasted till it turned brown.

    When you say 8 cinnamon what exactly do you mean? 1 inch sticks? 3 inch sticks? It comes in so many forms and 8 3 in stick seems like a lot. It may be correct but is a bit vague. If you describe this in a different section, sorry I didn’t see it. Thanks by the way! I had a karaikudi dish in a restaurant and wanted to try it out.
