Kataifi Rolls/Kadaif Rolls

Kataifi is a Mediterranean dessert. It is a pretty much similar to sweets like Baklava, Kunafah etc. Kataifi is a crispy roll coated with lemon-scented sugar syrup. It has a filling of coarsely ground nuts, mixed with cinnamon and clove powders.
My attempt at making Kataifi rolls turned out to be successful. The boys, especially J, who isn’t particularly fond of sweets, was asking for more helpings. The tray was wiped off in a day. To top it, D has asked me to make another batch. Yippee !!! That really made my day. What the boys liked the most is that it wasn’t overly sweet.
The recipe I followed is from MyGreekDish.com.
A few points to bear in mind while making this dessert are as follows:

* Keep the unused Kataifi dough wrapped so that it doesn’t dry out
* Ideally use butter made of Cow’s milk
* Be generous while using butter.
* Use the sugar syrup according to your liking. First pour 3/4 cup of syrup. Rest you can use as per your choice.
* Serve the rolls only once the sugar is absorbed completely.
