Makhmali Paneer is one dish I tried for the first time and fell in love with. What’s best about this recipe is that it doesn’t call for any fancy ingredients, is supereasy to prepare and tastes yummmmm

Instructions
  1. Grind coriander leaves, mint leaves, chillies, ginger, cashewnuts, curd, salt and lime juice to form a fine paste .
  2. Mix this mixture with paneer and keep aside for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat butter and oil in a pan.
  4. Add the onions and saute till they become translucent.
  5. Add the marinated paneer and toss carefully till the raw smell goes.
  6. Add milk and simmer till the gravy thickens.
  7. Sprinkle the garam masala and mix well.
  8. Switch off heat and transfer to a serving dish.
  9. Serve hot with Roti or any Indian bread.

    I havent tried making chicken following the same recipe. But I guess it should be fine. I think boneless chicken would be better.

    This was an easy dish too – good with chapati – but I think my green chillies were not too potent, and it wasnt spicy enough for my husband. Children loved it though. Next time I’m going to add more chillies and try. I love your easy recipes Mareena. Thanks for doing the research and finding these gems!

    Taste is good, need to add more chili for spicy tastebud, after it got cold gravy got thickens so gravy ingredients need to add more

    You could add a bit more water towards the end to make the gravy bit more thinner.. Spice levels can always be adjusted to suit your taste.
