Mango- Mint Chutney

Couple of days back, we had visited a friend of ours. Among the spread of snacks laid out, the one that I was really drawn to was the chutney that was served along with a snack. It was a combination of tangy and sweet,quite different from the chutneys I have tasted so far. On enquiring, Mrs.Verma, our host told that it was raw mango- mint chutney. She graciously listed out the ingredients that went into the chutney.

Luckily I had all the ingredients in stock. The measurements were more of a guess work as I hadn’t asked for it. Pretty pleased with the result. This chutney goes well will pakodas, samosas etc. This recipe yields half a cup of chutney

Ingredients
  

  • 1 mango Raw peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mint leaves Chopped
  • 1 - 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin Roasted powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar - (adjust to your liking)

Instructions
 

  • Grind all the ingredients together till you get a smooth paste. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
