Neer Dosa

Neer Dosa is a crepe commonly made in Karnataka. The word Neer means water in Kannada. This crepe is usually served as a breakfast dish. Unlike Dosa, the batter doesn’t require fermentation. This goes well with any curry or chutney.

Neer Dosa is a crepe commonly made in Karnataka. The word Neer means water in Kannada. This crepe is usually served as a breakfast dish. Unlike Dosa, the batter doesn't require fermentation. This goes well with any curry or chutney.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Raw rice
- 1/2 cup Coconut Grated
- to taste Salt
- as required Water
Instructions
- Soak the rice till it becomes soft enough to grind (2-3 hours).
- Grind the rice with grated cococnut and salt to a smooth fine paste. Add water to ease the grinding.
- Transfer the contents to a big vessel.
- Add water to form a thin, watery consistency.
- Heat an iron or any pan.
- Apply a thin coat of oil on the pan.
- When the pan is hot, pour a ladle of the batter into the pan.
- Allow to cook, without covering.
- Once the dosa is cooked, fold it into half and fold again.
- Transfer to a serving plate.
- Continue the process with the entire batter.
- Serve hot with any curry of your choice.
