Paneer bhurji is a dish that can be whipped up in a jiffy. This goes well with any Indian bread.
Ingredients
- 200 gms Cottage cheese (Paneer)
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 1 Tomato Chopped
- 1 Green chilli Finely chopped
- 2 - 3 chopped garlic Finely
- 1/2 chopped ginger " Finely
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder powder
- 3/4 teaspoon Chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Fennel powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves Chopped
Instructions
- Crumble the paneer and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Tip in the cumin seeds.
- Once they start to crackle, add the chopped onion.
- Saute till lightly brown in colour.
- Add the chopped chilli, garlic and ginger and saute for a minute.
- Tip in the coriander powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder, fennel powder and cumin powder.
- Saute for a minute.
- Add the chopped tomato and cook till it becomes soft.
- Add the crumbled paneer and salt and mix well.
- Cook for a minute.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve hot.
