Stir Fried Minty Pepper Mutton/Lamb

Here's the recipe of Stir fried Minty Pepper Mutton/Lamb, a spicy side dish that goes well with Rice or Roti. Stir Fried Minty Pepper Mutton/Lamb


  • 500 gms Mutton
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder

To be ground to a paste

  • 1 cup Shallots
  • 1 - 1/2 inchs Ginger piece
  • 7 cloves Garlic - 8
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 2 tablespoons Peppercorns
  • 1/4 cup Mint leaves chopped


  • Grind the shallots along with ginger, garlic, green chillies, peppercorns and mint leaves to a fine paste.
  • Apply this paste along with rest of the ingredients on the mutton.Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Cover and cook on low heat till the mutton is cooked through.
  • Heat oil in a pan.When the oil is hot, tip in the mutton along with gravy, if any, into the pan.
  • Fry till the mutton turns a shade darker.Serve hot with rice or roti.
