Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Fried Mozzarella Cheese sticks is a quick to make snack when you have some unexpected guests at home. Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks


  • 200 gms Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 - 1/2 tablespoons Corn flour
  • 1 - 1/2 tablespoons Flour (Maida)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 egg Beaten
  • 3/4 cup Bread crumbs


  • Cut the cheese into 1/4" thick finger sized pieces. Mix the flour, cornflour, salt, pepper powder and garlic powder together well. Roll the cheese fingers in the flour so that it is well coated.
  • Dip these fingers into the beaten egg and roll on the breadcrumbs so that it is evenly coated.
  • Repeat the process once again so that you get a real thick coating. This will ensure that the cheese stays inside the coating. (If the coating is thin, there are good chances for the cheese to ooze out into the oil).
  • Heat oil in a pan. When hot, drop the cheese sticks carefully into the oil. Turn it so that all sides are evenly coloured. Drain onto an absorbent paper when the cheese sticks turn golden brown. Serve hot with a dip of your choice.


Note: You can substitute egg with a flour-water mixture.
