Chicken Liver Pepper Fry

Chicken Liver Pepper fry is an easy to make dish. This dish can be served as a starter as well as a side dish. You can adjust the pepper powder to suit your liking. Also, make sure not to stir the liver too much as they will break.


  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 1 medium size Chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fennel powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 500 gms Chicken Liver
  • to taste Salt


  • Heat pan on medium
  • Add 3 tablespoons oil
  • When the oil is hot, add curry leaves
  • Add the chopped onion and cook till light brown in colour
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes.
  • Add coriander powder and stir for a few seconds
  • Add the chilli powder, fennel powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Cook for a few seconds
  • Add the liver and mix well. Do NOT over mix. Else the liver pieces will break.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Give a stir in between.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Let cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Switch off heat and serve hot
