Kataifi Dough

  • 110 gms Flour / Maida
  • 80 gms Corn flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 220 ml Water


  • Add all ingredients to a bowl
  • Mix well to form a smooth, lump-free batter
  • Transfer the batter into a piping bag. Secure the end to stop the batter from flowing out.
  • Heat pan on medium heat
  • Smear oil on the pan
  • Wipe off excess oil
  • Pipe the batter onto the pan. Move your hand fast so that the batter forms thin lines
  • Let cook for a few seconds
  • Once the strands lift off the pan by itself, remove from the pan.
  • Repeat till the batter is used up.
  • Store in a zip-lock bag and freeze. Use when needed
