Kecap Manis (Indonesian Sweet Soy Sauce)
No more running to the store in search of the Indonesian Sweet soy sauce - Kecap Manis. You can easily make it at home with just 2 ingredients.
- 300 grams Grated Jaggery
- 200 grams Soy sauce
Take a sauce pan. Add grated jaggery
Add soy sauce
Mix well and cook on medium-low heat
When it comes to a rolling boil, reduce heat
Once it reaches a syrupy consistency, switch off heat and let cool.
The sauce will become more thicker, once it is cooled.
Transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dark place.
