Apply some oil in your hands before cutting the banana to avoid staining of your hands.
Peel the bananas and cut into small cubes.
Immerse the cut pieces in water to avoid discolouration.
Take some water in an earthen pot. Add turmeric powder, salt and 2-3 curry leaves into it.
Tip in the banana cubes and mix well.
Cover and cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, till the banana is cooked through. Switch off heat and keep aside.
Heat oil in another pan.
Add the crushed garlic, shallots and remaining curry leaves and stir for a minute.
Add the crushed peppercorns and stir well.
Add the chilli powder and fry for a few seconds.
Tip in the cooked banana and mix well.
Cook for another minute, stirring occasionally, till well blended.
Switch off heat,
Serve with Rice.
