Beef Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 Onion Sliced
  • 2 - 4 green chillies Chopped
  • 1 Tomato Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 - 1/2 teaspoons Garlic cloves paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper powder powder
  • 2 Onion cut into big pieces
  • 2 Capsicum diced
  • 2 - 3 Potato (Optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander leaves Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges.
  • Apply salt and pepper and keep aside for a while.
  • Marinate the meat with turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Shallow fry the potato wedges till golden brown on all sides.
  • Drain and keep aside.
  • In the remaining oil, add the sliced onion.
  • Saute till brown in colour.
  • Add the meat and fry till water evaporates.
  • Add tomato, chilli powder, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder and ginger- garlic paste.
  • Fry till meat gets brown in colour.
  • Add water.
  • Cover and cook till the meat is cooked through.
  • Add pepper powder.
  • Add the onion and stir well.
  • Cook for a couple of minutes.
  • There should be some liquid remaining in the pan.
  • Add the capsicum and cook further.
  • After 5 minutes, add the fried potato wedges and mix well carefully.
  • Switch off heat.
  • Add the coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot.
