Custard Apple Milk Shake
Custard Apple season is here !! Just as I was wondering how to use the custard apples piled up on my pantry, I saw a facebook post wherein someone had posted a picture of a Milkshake he had at a nearby juice shop. Well...that was it...Custard Apple Milk Shake it is...The big smile on J's face as he
- 3 - 4 Custard apples
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Whipping cream - (I used frozen )
- Sugar as per taste
Using a spoon, scoop out the flesh of the custard apples along with seeds.
Put them in a blender.
Add half the milk into it and pulse for 2-3 seconds.
You will see that the seeds have separated from the pulp.
Strain the mixture through a strainer into a bowl.
You may have to use a spoon to help the pulp strain through.
Transfer the contents of the bowl back into the blender.
Add the remaining milk, whipping cream and sugar to taste.
Blitz till you get a thick and creamy shake.
Pour into a glass and garnish with some chopped roasted dry fruits.
This recipe yields approximately one serving (in a long glass).
Note: You can use a few ice cubes while blending the ingredients. I used frozen whipping cream and hence didn't use ice cubes
