Moroccan Spicy Prawns
The other day when I bought prawns, D promptly put up his request. "Mama, please make Stir Fried Prawns. You know how much I love it. " I was so looking forward to try out some new recipe. D's request put me in a spot. After racking my brains for a while, I zeroed in on Moroccan Spicy Prawns. It is
- 500 gms Prawns Cleaned Deveined
- 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
- 4 tablespoons Olive oil - (I used refined oil)
- 2 teaspoons Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne
- to taste Salt
- lemon Juice of a
Mix all the ingredients except oil along with the prawns.
Let rest for at least an hour.
If in a hurry, you can marinate for just 5-10 minutes.
The more you marinate, better the taste.
Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat and drop in the marinated prawns and let cook.
At first cook them on high heat for a couple of minutes or till they curl up.
Flip the prawns and cook for a minute.
Lower the heat and cook for about 5 more minutes.
Transfer the prawns to an absorbant paper.
This goes well with rice.
You can even serve it as a starter.
