Aloo-Phali Sabji (Potato-Long beans Stir fry)

Travelling all over the country and getting to taste a wide variety of different Indian cuisines has been one of the best things of being married to someone with a transferable job. With so much of variety you couldn't ask for more.Aloo Phali Sabji is one easy to make sabji I caught on along the way


  • 3/4 cup beans Chopped Long (Phali)
  • 2 potatoes Diced
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder (heaped)
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt


  • Heat oil in a pan . Saute the onions till golden brown.
  • Add the tomotoes, followed by coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry till the tomatoes turns mushy and oil separates.
  • Add the potatoes and long beans with salt. Stir well
  • Cover and cook on low flame till the vegetables are cooked through.
  • Serve with rice or roti.
