Peel and slice the bananas..
In a pan, boil the bananas along with lime juice and clove till the banana turns soft and mushy. (You can cool the mixture and pass through a clean muslin cloth to get a smoother mixture).
Add sugar, a few spoons at a time, and stir well until the entire sugar dissolves.
Bring to boil, skimming any froth from top.
Keep stirring, on medium heat, till you get a thick consistency.
Add the food colour and mix well.
Switch off the heat and transfer the jam into sterilised jars.
