Tzatziki sauce is a greek sauce used as an accompaniment for Gyros or Souvlaki. This sauce can also be served with Pita bread or Falafell. �I prefer to have this sauce with Shawarma. �Here's the recipe for Tzatziki sauce Tzatziki Sauce
- 2 cups Curd
- 1 Cucumber , peeled, seeded, and finely chopped, medium
- 4 cloves garlic Finely minced
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Red wine vinegar (I used lime juice)
- 4 - 5 mint leaves Finely minced
- to taste Salt
Place the curd in a muslin cloth and let it drain for a few hours.
Take the chopped cucmber and place in another muslin cloth and squeeze out all the liquid.
In a bowl, combine the drained curd, cucumber, salt, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and mint.
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week.
